UNFPA Zimbabwe and Government Convene Annual Review to Advance Women and Youth Programs

The UNFPA Zimbabwe office, in partnership with the Government of Zimbabwe, is currently hosting its Annual Review and 2026 Planning Meeting, gathering key ministries, development partners, and implementing agencies to evaluate progress and set strategic priorities for the coming year.

The meeting focuses on achievements under the 8 Country Programme and identifies actions to accelerate impact for women, adolescents, and young people in 2026. Discussions are aimed at strengthening partnerships, aligning interventions, and ensuring that critical goals—such as making every pregnancy wanted, every childbirth safe, and every young person’s potential realized—are systematically advanced.

UNFPA Zimbabwe emphasized that collaborative planning and coordination are central to sustaining progress in reproductive health, gender equality, and youth development, reflecting the country’s commitment to leaving no one behind.

This initiative underscores a broader strategy across the region to integrate development priorities with actionable programs, ensuring measurable impact and strengthened capacity for women and youth-centered services.
